The Cathedral Morning Choir

This choir is a dedicated ensemble of singers who share a deep passion for sacred music and worship. We strive for a high standard of musical excellence, contributing meaningfully to the 09:30 Sunday service and other important liturgical events throughout the year.

While many of our members have choral experience, we believe that musical skill can be developed if the passion is there. If you love to sing and are eager to learn, we would be delighted to welcome you into our musical community.

Rehearsal Times:
Wednesdays at 18:30 (weekly choir rehearsal)
Sundays at 08:30 (pre-service rehearsal)

The Cathedral Evensong Choir

Sings for Evensong on most Sundays as well as special services like the service of Nine Lessons and Carols on Christmas eve. We sing a range of music from the 17th century through to music being composed by current composers.

The treble (soprano) line was traditionally provided by children mainly from St George’s Grammar School, but since the COVID pandemic we have had only adult sopranos. We would be happy to audition new members of all voice parts and some music reading ability is necessary.
