Lay Ministry is defined the work of ministry to which each believer is called. As Christians we are all called to serve Christ. As laity we must not sit as observers and let a small percent of the church , that is the clergy, do the majority of the work. We are vital to the unfolding of God’s plan for the world. God has called you to be His representative in this world.

This ministry is twofold – one being a lay minister who assists with the reading of the lessons and doing the intercessions during Services as well a visiting the sick and assisting with the education of the parishioners.  Training is provided.

The other is to train to become a licensed lay minister who assists the clergy in the leading of Services and administering the Chalice. In addition, you may assist with Pastoral Care, taking Communion to the sick, leading prayer meetings and bible studies as well supporting the clergy.  You need to support the Parish Vision and its policies as a representative of the Parish.
