Our beloved Cathedral has been operating, serving the needs of our people and the worldwide Anglican communion for the past 191 years. God has blessed us with this wonderful building & precinct as a place of worship. As we review the operational needs of the Cathedral, we wish to appeal to all parishioners to renew their pledges, if possible, with an increase in giving, and to encourage new members to commit pledges of dedicated giving.

The day to day running cost of the Cathedral is approximately R13 000.00 per day for the sustainable operation and ministry of Christ in our city and country.

These pledges of financial giving will allow the Cathedral to prepare a budget and assess the additional fundraising for, not only for the day-to-day operations, but also for us to do outreach programs in our city and country.

Dedicated Giving Sunday on 16th November 2025, where we will thank God for the blessings we receive and to be able to bless others by our giving. We encourage you to visit the St George’s Cathedral website for the online completion of the pledge form or contact the office for a pledge form. The pledge form will be distributed via our social media channels as well.

Attached to this letter is a form, which can also be submitted to the Wardens on Sunday 16 November 2025 or shortly thereafter or via email to reception@sgcathedral.co.za, with Pledge in the subject line.
